Coaching helps clients become aware of how their thought patterns impact their behaviors and circumstances, allowing choice in how to shift their relationship to life and workplace challenges.

Michael's Coaching Background
Michael has always been the person friends, family, teammates, colleagues and leaders turned to for advice and support in solving problems and finding white space for growth. Becoming a Certified Leadership & Performance Coach (through Brown University’s School of Professional Studies) helped Michael understand the science and practice of asking the right questions that enable leaders to unlock the opportunities to address challenges and grow. It’s about empowering individuals to do their own work, not giving the answer. The coaching certification process turned Michael’s nearly 30 years of nonprofit, corporate, and political experience into a touchstone for listening and challenging leaders to chart their own journey to success.
Michael believes deeply in the African proverb, "if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together" because it emphasizes the importance of deep collaborative involvement and teamwork to build processes, structures and organizations that stand the test of time. He brings this inclusive, people-focused concept to his individual and group coaching services.
Like many of his clients, Michael’s journey to coaching began with a desire to be more, accomplish more, and deliver greater value through his work. He spent the better part of two years researching the path of greatest purpose for the remainder of his career. Coaching is a torch Michael will use to illuminate peoples’ paths to promise and meaningful involvement.
And coaching allows Michael to build deep connections with clients seeking to be high-performing managers and bosses, build successful businesses, or plot their transition to new opportunity. He finds it deeply rewarding to help clients unpack the challenges they face, and in the process, identify choices at their disposal to show up as their better self.
